Beverly Hills Mini Getaway

We think it’s about time for a mini getaway!! We recently went for a short stay in Beverly Hills, California. It was just long enough to relax, shop, and pamper ourselves to help us restart and re-energize ourselves. On this trip, we had a special guest star and that’s Mom’s sister, Aunty Jodi!!

Day 1: Ciel Spa for a facial

The first day was a spa day! Our hotel had a spa that specializes in Biologique Recherche facials. This facial was absolutely amazing!! Mom chose the Ciel Custom Facial plus add-ons. The esthetician explained that it would be like a facelift and a manual dermabrasion. She did half of her face and let her see the difference. One side of her face literally looked slimmer and had a great color and texture to it. Skin felt extremely hydrated, and the esthetician asked us not to put sunscreen or to wash it so that we could let the products absorb. Note to self: do this treatment on the last day when you are on your way home.

Beverly-Wilshire-Hotel

The agenda for the rest of the day was to walk around Rodeo Drive. The first stop was the famous Beverly Wilshire hotel (Pretty Women)!

Then a walk down Rodeo Drive! Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, Valentino, and Cartier!! The stores limited the capacity of people, so the shopping experience was really pleasant.

Kaylin is sporting a floral high-rise split skirt from Shein and a white crop top. The skirt and top is another great buy for your summer closet total under $25.

crustacean

We completed our day with a delicious meal at Crustacean. They had outdoor seating and the weather was perfect! We chose “From the Secret Kitchen” part of the menu, An’s Famous Garlic Roasted Dungeness Crab and Colossal Tiger Prawns with An’s Famous Garlic Noodles.

Day 2 Friday –

On the agenda for Friday was to check out Century City where Gorjana (One of our favorite jewelry stores) was located and “The Grove”. The walk was about 3 miles to Century City and on our way there we got to see tons of small boutique shops. One of the more famous spots that we saw was the Vanderpumpdogs. The store was pretty amazing if you’re a dog lover! They had everything from adult clothing to dog treats, toys, food, and a doggy salon!

Another exciting shop was “The Detox Market” (one of our favorite make-up stores), Credo Beauty (another favorite beauty story). These stores we have only ordered online. We finally reached Century City and got to browse around Gorjana! It was a small nice store and we got to see the jewelry first hand. Until now we have only purchased online (Don’t forget to use Rakuten) or in Nordstrom.

We saw some new stores like APL and Alo Yoga.

edo-bites

We ate at a place called Edo bites, which had French-style sandwiches and deserts; it was a winner.

rofftop-lounge

We ended the day dining at the “Rooftop Lounge” at our hotel.

The food was amazing and the outdoor setting was so beautiful after a long day of walking. We ordered a hamburger, chicken sandwich, and fries…. Delicious!! Mom’s earrings (she has a pair of G Ring which match her necklace) and necklace are Gorjana favorites and Jodi’s necklace is a Tiffany initial.

Day 3 Saturday –

This was our last day we drove up to Westfield Fashion Square and went to a Jins store (Jin’s sunglasses in the pic). This is a store that we were first introduced to in Japan. This is one of our favorite places for prescription glasses because they have an alternative fit (see more info here). Black Michael Kors jacket is several years old but here’s a similar one in brown or navy blue or black.

The next destination was the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We walked down Hollywood boulevard where the stars went on forever. We took a few photos with a few names we recognized. (Skirt and top)

But the highlight of our trip was after walking through the Hollywood stars, the two young ones showed the two older ones some electric scooters! What is an electric scooter you ask? It is a scooter that you don’t have to peddle it’s electric, so you stand on it and it just goes!

About Electric Scooters

It’s super easy and so convenient, you download the app on your phone, sign up, scan and you’re ready to go. Some places have parking stalls but the ones we saw were just standing on the side of the sidewalk. Electric scooters are available only at certain locations through the US. The Lime website has a tab with locations, but the Scoot site is a little more difficult to find available locations. We rode it for about 2+ miles to go back to our car after shopping.

Details:

Aunty Jodi and Mom are dressed in casual jeans and tank tops. Auntie Jodi’s top is the Topshop basic tank in grey, Tiffany initial J necklace, Tory Burch crossbody (camera bag), Brooks Glycerin 18, and AG jeans.

Mom’s jeans are a Chic for Cheap find from Target, $15 when it’s on sale. These jeans are a great buy super stretchy and comfortable. We ended our shopping day on Venice boulevard where we took a stroll through Everlane. The famous white tennies, floral skirt, white crop top and mask.

Last dinner of our mini getaway at “Milo and Olive” fabulous food, service was excellent and beautiful ambiance!

Have some FUN and try electric scootering next time!
