Resort World Las Vegas Spa on a Budget

resort world Las Vegas spa on a budget

We recently checked out Resort World Las Vegas Spa on a Budget. It’s at the North end of the Las Vegas Strip. We were hesitant to try this location because it seemed far away from the main areas in Vegas. The property is huge and if you exit through the South side door (There’s a Fat Tuesday which is a plus) it’s within walking distance to Encore, Wynn, Palazzo, Venetian, and Fashion Mall. To the North end, it’s within walking distance to Circus Circus, and Fontainebleau, so the location was really good!

Having a Hilton Honors Credit card is how we can afford some of these higher-end resort hotels. Resort World is a Hilton chain and there are 3 different properties on the site: Hilton, Conrad, and Crockfords.

Our 1st “Chic for Cheap Tip” is that we are Hilton Credit Card Members and have been for almost 20 years. The annual fee was just raised to $150 for the Hilton Honors Surpass Card and it is totally worth it! For me, the best benefit is the Free Night Reward after you spend $15,000 on eligible purchases on your Card in a calendar year. We use the card for everything possible to earn points through the year.

For our free night, we have enjoyed places like Waldorf Astoria Washington DC, Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas (several times), and Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, and Hilton Waikoloa (Years ago this property was more pricey and we went several times, but now you can find great deals). We try to choose properties that we would normally not book if we had to pay full price.

I am not a gambler so my guilty pleasure is to go to the hotel spas. I was excited to check out the “Awana Spa” because there were several amenities that were co-ed. They had 4 vitality pools, which varied in temperature from ice bath to jacuzzi hot, sauna, salt therapy, heated stone chairs, and an entertainment room were all included in the co-ed side. They also had separate men’s and women’s areas. The women’s side included private areas with a jacuzzi, steam room, and tropical showers. There are lockers and you get a bracelet to open and close rather than a code or key.

So, our 2nd Chic for Cheap Tip it’s to schedule the World of Wellness Massage for 60 Minutes (On Tues-Wed $205, Thurs-Mon $230) this will give you access to the complete spa facility all day long. They have a 3-hour pass for $120 (Tues- Wed) or $140 (Thursday-Mon), so for about $100 more you would have the full day access.

I scheduled a Moroccanoil Hydration Ritual, which was pricier, but the 3rd Chic for Cheap Tip is to schedule it on a Tuesday or Wednesday ($390) because Thursday- Monday ($425) the price is higher. The treatment starts with an exfoliating massage. They asked if I wanted the oil scalp treatment and I agreed, but unless you want to leave with very oily hair I would pass on this portion next time. Once the exfoliation is complete you have a hydrating massage, super relaxing and you leave feeling fully rested!

The “Awana Spa” serves a few different platters of snacks. It’s not a full meal but enough to get you by if you’re staying in the Spa for a long period. You’re served and eat the food in an entertainment area where can just relax or in the same area they have pedicures. We tried the bento box, it was yogurt and fruits. it was presented well, and the fruits were delicious! There’s a TV throughout this room but no audio.

The 4th “Chic for Cheap Tip” as a Hilton member you receive credit for meals. Make sure you use your food credit every day because it’s free! We could only use the credit at Dawg House Saloon, but they served all 3 meals. We ate at different times every day so we could try their whole menu. We are not foodies but felt the food was great, and the portions were very generous.

A portion of the restaurants were only open on the weekend, but I felt there was a good number of choices. There wasn’t much shopping in the hotel, but Fashion Mall was close. Because it was cold we couldn’t make use of the pools but there are 5 of them. There’s an adult-only pool, main pool, family pool, bimini pool, and the cabana poo. The setup was really nice and we are excited to go back when the weather is more suitable.
