These are the top items we purchase at the Sephora Sale. As a whole chic for cheap always uses Rakuten when purchasing and on a daily basis we try to use budget-friendly skincare and cosmetics. BUT when Sephora has their sale or any discounts we have a field day and that’s when we try new items or more pricey products.

Hair Tools
Sephora sale is a good time to purchase hair tools. A 2020 allure award winner is the T3 Lucea ID 1″ Smart Straightening & Styling Flat Iron with Touch Screen has been a winner! The sleek white look with pink trimming makes flat ironing your hair a joy. There are 9 settings for every hair type and it’s super light.
If you prefer a curling iron the T3 Curl ID fits the bill. A 2020 Marie Claire Beauty award has 9 settings as well. This is a ceramic curling iron and automatically adjusts to your hair type and the curls last forever!!
Super pricey and not everyone agrees but the Dyson Airwrap Styler hairdryer is fabulous if you can dish out the dollars. There are several attachments included: 1.2-inch airwrap, 1.6-inch airwrap, firm smoothing brush, soft smoothing brush, round volumizing brush, pre-styling dryer and the case that it comes with is beautiful! Your hair will dry faster with less damage!
To round up your hair tools our favorite hair towel is the Aquis Waffle Luxe Hair Turban. Aquis claims to cut drying time by 50% and reduce frizz and breakage. Were not sure if this is true but the head wrap is awesome! There’s a button at the back to keep the towel in place and short or long hair it’s great to tie your hair up after a shower. There’s also the Prime Rapid-Dry Hair Turban, the material is a little thicker and less forgiving, but we have both and love both of them.
Make-up
On the make-up front, our Sephora purchases are Mom’s buys (We will have a separate make-up post for Kaylin). Mom keeps things super simple, her main make-up buy is mascara (see here for how she keeps her lashes curled and her favorite mascara’s). New in her cart this sale is Shiseido Eyelash Curler.
Every sale she tries a new mascara and this one is no different. This sale is no different and the newest mascara that she tested was the Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara. This was a HUGE HIT, both volumizing and lengthening, it goes on easy! One layer gives a nice natural look, add a couple of coats and your lashes will stand out BIG! Sephora has a limited edition sale, basically 2 for the price of one $29.50. If you use a lash primer Lancôme Cils Booster Xl Super Enhancing Primer is a good one.
Foundations for Yellow Undertones
Mom has been using Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 Foundation for under-eye concealer and on lazy days she uses it for her whole face because of the extra SPF. This is a VERY dewy product, so if you like shine this is for you. Those with older skin, it gives great hydration and does not create creases.
Last Sephora sale Mom purchased Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation. This is a really nice foundation, light, and considered a mineral foundation. The finish is more luminous and looks real nice on mature skin! New in her cart is the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Perfect Glow Flawless Oil-Free Foundation.
Eyeliner and Eyebrow Pencil & Other Items in My Cart
An all-time favorite is the Tom Ford Emotionproof Eyeliner. First its mechanical so you can get rid of your pencil sharpener. Second it glides on and you can get either a clean look or a smudged look. Lastly, its got great staying power, it will last all day!
For eyebrows, Mom’s skin is very sensitive and she’s not had any reaction to Huda’s #BombBrow Microshade Brow Pencil. This pencil is ultra-fine, mechanical and comes in several colors. It’s great for adding thin hair-like strokes.
Like we mentioned Sephora Sale is the best time to purchase products that you want to try.
